The silence of God does not mean you have changed his mind nor does it mean you are in His permissive will. Everything maybe going on well yet it does not signify it being okay. Ignoring God's voice or signs won't end you well. Unless you confess your sins and show a sign of repentance. The truth is, you cannot ignore God forever. The fact that you keep ignoring Him and life seems very okay does not mean you are right. The reality is Him respecting your right to choose even when you choose another direction other than His. As the Bible says, There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is death. Not the beginning but the end thereof. NB: Everyone else can sail in the other direction and have no turbulence at all but when you try to do what everybody else is doing because you belong to God. What others get away with, you'll not be able to get away with. Even though, He respects your human will, He will ultimately prevail over your human will because He is God. The funny part of Jonah's story is God never stopped him from planning to run away and he eventually running away but at the end He showed him who is God and who is human after all. Hence, God will never interrupt your directions that are contrary to His but at the end, His will, will definitely prevail. There are a lot of things we do not take notice of but are still a big part of us anyway. As my father always says, "The fact that you don't watch or read about what is really going on around you doesn't mean nothing goes on". Get to know what goes on around you and you will know how to deal with them the best way.
