Believe This

A professor once told me that women have the ability
to foresee if they've chosen the right partner before they
end up marrying the man. They either have an awkward
inner feeling in relation to her partner's actions, or it could be
through weird dreams. I was a little confused when he said that but he later
clarified his point with a lot of references from his counseling sessions
with women before and during marriage. And about 95% who are having problems have
confirmed saying that they had weird dreams of their spouses of which they didn't
bother to analyses critically. One of them said in her dream, she was boarding a flight with her spouse and she tripped so her footwear fell and she decided to go for it but the moment she took it and raised her head, her spouse had boarded the plane without her. But she was blinded by love and took it lightly so she went ahead to marry this man. And after their marriage this man has never cared of her whereabout or whatever. But she can't divorce him since marriage is for a lifetime. Let's Make the Right Choices Ladies!...

Up the Hill

I decided to board a mini- van to my destination one day
cause I wanted to save money and I was impressed by the sound
of it's engine. But then we got to a hill and as we begun to climb,
the sound of it's engine changed uprightly. There and then, a thought
bummed into my head, of how we easily judge people's character in good
times when we haven't experienced their temper in times of difficulties. This
results in divorces and separations, we should at least get to know someone's
bad side before proposing or saying yes regardless of the fact that people change
with time.

Knowledge is Power II

This experience made me realize why the rich are still
greedy to make more money even after earning it through foul means.
My sister developed the habit of stealing my granny's credits little by little.
I noticed that right away when she started showing interest in changing her ringtone
and other unnecessary stuffs without her asking. My granny also always bought credits, even  if they said the number she was dialing was out of coverage area, she mistook it for having no credits. My sister realizing this cultivated the habit of stealing her credits in little folds. Then after a while she decided to divide the credits into two and steal half. Until it wasn't enough for her and my granny also started getting suspicious and she was finally caught. How silly!!!.

Knowledge is Power

I met a good friend of mine at Ecobank, Accra branch. He made mention
of now relocating to stay in the capital city permanently. So I was curious of
his dealings in the bank. He spoke with a big smile so I was expecting better, but
he said since he will be no longer in Kumasi, he found it wise to close down his account
in Kumasi and open a new one in Accra. I was a little confused so I asked the what bank he was saving at in Kumasi and he answered Ecobank. So you closed down your Ecobank account in Kumasi to open another one in Accra? , He answered confidently yes without seeing anything wrong with it. Guess you also don't see anything wrong with it too huh!...shaking my head!

Wonderful Experience

I know you may find this absurd but is a feeling that comes once in a while and of course I didn't take it lightly. Two ladies who were friends of my dad in the states decided to pay us a visit on their way back from the states. It was such a memorable one week experience. I began eating foods I don't get to even see until special occasions. It was like everyday was a special occasion. The fridge was stocked with drinks, fruits and junk foods as well. Everything some was inside. lol. Come and see me, as if I owned the house. I always made sure I clear the table after they were done eating cause they always left the drinks half-empty and some fruits or slices of pizza for me to consume. Please it wasn't meant for the dogs. I was caught once though when I was done clearing the table, one of them called me in request of some more pineapples. I fed them to the dog and the parrot, I replied. Okay, then the fruit juice will do, she said. For that one I have drank it, I answered. She smiled and shook her head as she entered the room. I know right!

Happy Father's Day

I bought my father a gift after church service and placed it on his desk so
he could easily see it without stress. Hours later, my mother came over, thanking
me on behalf of my dad for the wine with laughter and smiles. It did seem a little
strange but I soon forgot about it. During the evening, I decided to for my mom's phone to call a couple of friends since she had activated for the mtn talk chaw. And there was my wine, half-empty beside my mom who was fast asleep. I was tempted to also take a sip, before I realized I had drank the whole bottle so I decided to leave the bottle on the floor with a mob right beside it and left the floor a little wet as well. Indicating the wine fell and poured accidentally and I was off to bed.

When We Hurt

We don't always expect what people do or say.
It may be totally uncalled for or out-of-line at times.
But once the harm is done is up to us to know how
to deal with it regardless how bad it hurts.
The choices we make maybe regrettable but at that very
moment we just can't think straight. All we wanna do
is tell them what's on our mind and be free.
It's understandable but self-control is key.

Life is Complicated

How would define life in your own words?
Is Life that easy or smooth always?, why is it that way...
I visited the ICGC Christ Temple Church  a couple of weeks ago
when Dr. Nevers Mumbia was preaching on a topic called Life.
And I begun to wonder and elaborate more on life.
He said, Life is the distance between the day you born and the day
you die. It can also be said that It is how we navigate through the twists
and turns. That is, Life happens even if we ain't ready for what it has for us.
But how we are able to stand and persevere is called Life. He also said the choices
we make differentiate one's life from another regardless. He explained further by saying our choice of a future partner can also drastically change one's life.  Concluded by saying, Life is a queue and there will come a day there will be no one left in front of us but endurance is key. Meaning our time will surely come so we shouldn't give up cause we failed yesterday cause is LIfe.

Mess Up

Sometimes we mess up with someone so badly
that we just would understand if they decide not
to holla at us any more. But we just have to deal
with the fact that we did mess up and would do anything
if we could turn back the time. It's just unfortunate they
wanna hear our side of the story but our explanation may
worsen things so we keep them to ourselves making things
even worse for us. I always say if they meant to be in our lives
they will definitely need time out or a little space but they will always
stick around. But we should play our part in that.
