My name is Kendrick, and I met Ivy about 7years ago.
After 4years of true friendship, we decided to take it to
the next level of which she started her nursing training school.
I completed Kwame Nkrumah University 2years ago holding a
degree in Business Administration and currently working at Ecobank,
Adum Branch. I noticed Ivy was cultivating a strange attitude, not towards me but
it began when she started using a guy and herself as her display photo and
sometimes using comments like "Miss you somehow, Missing you, Been a while"
I got a little suspicious even though I trusted her, but she denied out-rightly having
anything at all to do with him and that they were just friends.
After sometime I was tempted to take her phone whilst she went out to accompany a friend of hers, I saw pictures and messages of her and the guy, he was indeed popular in her school. Anyways, when she got back I made her notice I had seen everything by raising the phone and after a while she confessed she was also dating him alongside cause I didn't show any interest of meeting her parents even though she asked a couple of times. I walked away not understanding her silly excuse, cause she never complained about me meeting her parents, and I had told her after she had graduated. Just last week, she then called telling me she had entirely ended it with the guy and expecting me to come back and that is her final year so I should meet her parents just after she graduates, I said okay. But I don't think I can do this because if she could date another guy alongside me and totally covered it up, what else is she capable of?

Silly Mistake
Barry was a smart guy and that worried him a little
even though he was most of the time right. The only thing was
he analyses too many stuffs. And that was the only problem
his girlfriend had with him, because he had a believe everything
is done for a reason but anytime he asked her why she did something
her reason was nothing, she just felt like it. Like one day he saw a picture
on her phone pegging another guy and her reason was he asked her and she
just felt like it. Due to these little little excuses his roommate Nelly was the
one resolving their constant arguments.
Keisha started calling Nelly frequently anytime Barry did something she didn't like
and he always had a way of calming her down. And it got to a time they stopped talking about matters concerning Barry and started talking about fun stuffs which later ended up in love talks and they were in love at last. Barry on the other hand, saw the end from the beginning but anytime he asked her she said they were just friends and that he was also free with friends of hers. He knew that was her attitude and never took her excuses lightly so he timed them closely cause they started meeting up until one day he caught them red handed in his room alone, dancing to a jazz music and staring at each other closely. Before that he had asked her if she was free that very evening and that he was inviting her to a concert, but she replied she had plans. His final words to her was I thought as much. She then came back to her senses 8months afterwards, realizing Barry was the only one who truly understood her and could help her change but it was too late. He had met someone she couldn't match up to.

Falling in Love2
For the first time in my life I saw all in one. She had everything
I wanted in a girl. "God stop messing around with me", I said
She chuckled, Oh shit she heard me, I blurted out. She kept on
with her chuckle. Can't believe I'm speaking to myself, forgive my
bad manners, just a little carried away. My name is Jack I told her.
She smiled and said, don't worry I get that a lot, anyways I'm Jill, she
concluded and reached out for a peg. Misinterpreted it and reach out my
lips instead. She taught it was intentional so she laughed and said, that is
quite bold, I like that, go ahead then. I froze instantly, she waited for about
3seconds and was pulling away with the look on her face that said that's what
they all do. I could see from her face most guys flattered her but weren't bold enough to actually do what they say when given the chance so I slowly pressed my lips against hers. I was stunned, felt as if I had stroke. My whole body failed to function afterwards. It was as if they had finally served their purpose and it was enough to give up the ghost. That was my first kiss though even-though it wasn't really a kiss. It was the softest, silkiest and most succulent thing I have ever tasted. She looked surprised though cause she thought I couldn't pull it off. Your lips really tastes good, she said. I thought she was messing with me until she said come on let's go somewhere private. And that was how it begun.

Just Pray
In everything examination from grade 3, I would
fall outside the first ten category. Until one day, in
grade 3, I and a friend held hands and prayed before the
examination that we wanted to see changes in our score.
After the examination, we walked up to view our posted results
and I was ninth and he was tenth. We looked at each other and smiled.
Until grade 8 I never ceased being ninth every-time examination took place.
Unfortunately I dropped to twelfth then I came back to my senses and made another
request and in grade 9 I was sixth. So you see, if you okay with where you are, you
will keep being there until you decide to move forward.
Just Believe
As a little child I could do stuffs I haven't done in
a while now. I had so much faith that even when it was
black out i would kneel, pray and cry and the light would be
back on. It was so real that my siblings thought it was coincidence
but anytime I didn't the light wouldn't come back on until midnight.
So they would come get me anytime is black out and every single time
the light came back on unless I'm not in the mood. Even with that I would
let them know it wouldn't work. Faith would keep you going if you believe.

Just Happened 2
I finished eating but i felt lazy to wash my plate so I left it on
my bed whilst coding. I fell asleep a couple of minutes afterwards and
before I knew it ants had invaded my privacy so I had to do away with the
plate right away. I managed to get it to the kitchen, placed it in the sink,
gave them a lot of signals about the upcoming flood just like Noah did but the
turned on deaf eyes. I opened the tap anyway and I remembered how Noah suffered
getting people on board.
Just Happened
I was busy texting through our the night with a new friend
I just got, it was black out and hot which delayed my sleep.
The chat was interesting though so I wasn't bored. Hours later
my phone also blacked out, so I eventually slept. The next morning
I ended up at work forgetting to put my phone on charge. The moment I
did, it just wouldn't charge. Then a voice said to me, this is how rapture
is gonna be like. You'll never see it coming. Until today my battery is still
dead without reason.
About That
I still wanted to know the meaning of love and I was told is not
the feeling when you with her but the feeling of you day-dreaming
of her when you not with her and when you thinking of her every-time
something interesting happens and you keep saying in your head, if she
were here. Like you wish she were here to hear this or what she would have
said if she were present or you see something and you like, she would really
like this. That's when you can talk of love, but we mistake selfish desires
for love when we hungry or when we bored and we wish they were around us to
keep us happy or buy something for us. wink!
Awkward Moments
Times of total silence when no one is talking and no one
seems to be thinking of something to say. Example:
1. When you invited by someone to a program or a premier
and you decide to go because you've got nothing doing and you
two start talking from the start but it gets to time you've said
everything on your mind and total silence breaks in.
2. When taken on a lift by a family friend, relative, course mate
from work or lectures and after you start off well but after a while
no one is talking.
3. Especially in telenovelas when the guy kisses the girl for the first
time and afterwards there's dead silence.
4. When you meet a childhood friend or mate on your way to the same destination
and for a while you talk but after sometime no one says anything.

What to Receive
My Grandfather wasn't a spiritual man but he knew a few stuffs
an old man should know through a couple of experiences he had.
He was a soldier and he always loved to polish his boot and wipe his
medals at his leisure times. I did like to sit and watch how serious
he was whilst I ate. He was a man of few words so everything he said
was taken seriously. I only realized he fought in the 2nd World War
after he passed away. One day, a woman visited us and came along with a
goat. Few minutes after they left, he called my father and told him
plainly he should also give it out as a gift. And he asked why the women
came over cause they have never done that before. And he said he went
over for a funeral at their hometown and decided to dash them some money.
He looked pissed and warned my dad not to give or take anything from them
cause they were all witches. My father understood why strange things happened
to him that week. A lesson he would always remember.
The Right Direction
I decided to board a mini-van on my way home from work one day.
And as I was about approaching my destination I hinted the mate I was
about alighting, just a couple of blocks away. I was sitting right in front
of him but he turned around instead to ask who said he/she was alighting.
Thought he was messing around with me so I just told the driver instead
and I got down. Then a voice said to me, this is how we turn to the wrong
direction when we are expecting something from God and He is trying to
reach us with a simple solution. We end up listening to the wrong voice instead
and when things get messed up we think God did nothing at all. Be attentive!...
And as I was about approaching my destination I hinted the mate I was
about alighting, just a couple of blocks away. I was sitting right in front
of him but he turned around instead to ask who said he/she was alighting.
Thought he was messing around with me so I just told the driver instead

Unfortumate Outcome
Kwame went up to Kofi's hostel one fine Saturday afternoon to hang out.
While they were chatting he was scrolling through Kofi's gallery photos and
came across a picture that captured his attention. He asked Kofi straight away
who she was and he said she was a close friend and that he had tried everything
to get the girl since he noticed she was the good-innocent type. But nothing he has
done so far has pulled through. Kwame looked at him while he was talking and noticed
he was into this girl. You said you have tried everything, he asked. Yes oo ma guy, he replied. Alright give me the number and lemme use a different approach, maybe she sees you in a different way so no matter what you do, the best you can get is her attention, nothing else. For the whole academic year they never talked about her until the next academic year, Kofi went to visit her as usual and to his surprise he saw Kwame's name in her call list over and over again, as soon as he left her place, he called his friend and asked of the girl. "Oh she be ma sweetheart", he replied. Kofi's immune system broke down, he just didn't believe his ears. He decided to visit her with his friend the next time. and when they did he realized the reactions on the girl's face and even the way she hugged Kwame and spoke to him was different. Tears filled his eyes as he click on delete when the girl number popped up on his phone.
While they were chatting he was scrolling through Kofi's gallery photos and
came across a picture that captured his attention. He asked Kofi straight away
who she was and he said she was a close friend and that he had tried everything
to get the girl since he noticed she was the good-innocent type. But nothing he has
done so far has pulled through. Kwame looked at him while he was talking and noticed
he was into this girl. You said you have tried everything, he asked. Yes oo ma guy, he replied. Alright give me the number and lemme use a different approach, maybe she sees you in a different way so no matter what you do, the best you can get is her attention, nothing else. For the whole academic year they never talked about her until the next academic year, Kofi went to visit her as usual and to his surprise he saw Kwame's name in her call list over and over again, as soon as he left her place, he called his friend and asked of the girl. "Oh she be ma sweetheart", he replied. Kofi's immune system broke down, he just didn't believe his ears. He decided to visit her with his friend the next time. and when they did he realized the reactions on the girl's face and even the way she hugged Kwame and spoke to him was different. Tears filled his eyes as he click on delete when the girl number popped up on his phone.

A Boy Girl Thing
The same way ladies are aware when a gentleman is about proposing,
The same way the gentleman also know the answer to his proposal before
he asks. If its a No or Will reply you later on, he is expecting, then he has
a way of going about his proposal even if it is a try and error he is doing,
But if it's a yes he is expecting, he either goes straight to the point or triggers
the lady do the asking indirectly. Which results in her asking, whom am I to you?.
He always has the best answer to the question since he has already thought it through
but doesn't give a straight answer. He prolongs the answer, wanting to know if the lady is serious or is just asking by saying something like, I'm your husband or I'm whatever you think I am to you. The answer of the lady always determines if he should get serious or still play along.

Substituition
Sometimes you wanna talk to someone about something
but the moment you are about doing so someone else pops up
interrupting your chat and at the same time the person is curious
and attentive waiting for whatever you've got to say. And you don't
wanna attract attention or let the other person know what you about
saying. You have no choice but to postpone what you really wanna say.
Ending up making up something crappy which results in them saying
you ain't serious. Just deal with it
but the moment you are about doing so someone else pops up
interrupting your chat and at the same time the person is curious

Believe This
A professor once told me that women have the ability
to foresee if they've chosen the right partner before they
end up marrying the man. They either have an awkward
inner feeling in relation to her partner's actions, or it could be
through weird dreams. I was a little confused when he said that but he later
clarified his point with a lot of references from his counseling sessions
with women before and during marriage. And about 95% who are having problems have
confirmed saying that they had weird dreams of their spouses of which they didn't
bother to analyses critically. One of them said in her dream, she was boarding a flight with her spouse and she tripped so her footwear fell and she decided to go for it but the moment she took it and raised her head, her spouse had boarded the plane without her. But she was blinded by love and took it lightly so she went ahead to marry this man. And after their marriage this man has never cared of her whereabout or whatever. But she can't divorce him since marriage is for a lifetime. Let's Make the Right Choices Ladies!...

Up the Hill
I decided to board a mini- van to my destination one day
cause I wanted to save money and I was impressed by the sound
of it's engine. But then we got to a hill and as we begun to climb,
the sound of it's engine changed uprightly. There and then, a thought
bummed into my head, of how we easily judge people's character in good
times when we haven't experienced their temper in times of difficulties. This
results in divorces and separations, we should at least get to know someone's
bad side before proposing or saying yes regardless of the fact that people change
with time.

Knowledge is Power II
This experience made me realize why the rich are still
greedy to make more money even after earning it through foul means.
My sister developed the habit of stealing my granny's credits little by little.
I noticed that right away when she started showing interest in changing her ringtone
and other unnecessary stuffs without her asking. My granny also always bought credits, even if they said the number she was dialing was out of coverage area, she mistook it for having no credits. My sister realizing this cultivated the habit of stealing her credits in little folds. Then after a while she decided to divide the credits into two and steal half. Until it wasn't enough for her and my granny also started getting suspicious and she was finally caught. How silly!!!.
